Maggio Musicale, summer music festival in the Tuscan capital
This annual opera festival founded in 1933 comprises one of the oldest arts events in Italy and one of the most celebrated in the European Union. The “Teatro Comunale” , comprising the musical centre in Florence, hosts the Maggio Musicale. This festival, currently celebrating its 74th birthday, will be taking place throughout the summer months this year.
